WTBR is inspired by the summertime musical sounds that will emanate from New York’s Water Taxi Beaches. This podcast features the most soulful, sexy, funky, minimal, jazzy, deep, techie and global dance sounds from some of NYC’s best DJs like Victor Franco, Jellybean Benitez, Kervyn Mark & Kamala, Ospina and Oscar P. Envision beautiful sandy beaches, stunning views of the city, scents of delicious food wafting through the air, beautiful people chatting and smiling, all to the constant rhythm of the music. If you can’t join us on the beach or you just need warm-up tunes as you dig those sandals out of the closet, subscribe to WTBR and turn up your speakers!
Our original location, at the New York Water Taxi Hunters Point Ferry stop, offers the best views of the Manhattan skyline this side of “The Donald's” chopper. This 44,000 square foot beach with 900 tons of sand provides a family atmosphere by day, and after dark becomes a playground for the 21+ crowd with live music, DJs, as well as cultural and electronic music events. Building upon the popularity of Water Taxi Beach in Long Island City, Water Taxi Beach/South Street Seaport has made its debut this summer on the north side of Pier 17. Featuring spectacular views of the Brooklyn Bridge, the 18,000 square foot Water Taxi Beach, South Street Seaport caters to families with its signature sandy beach, 9-hole miniature golf course, ping-pong tables and skeeball. Water Taxi Beach, Governors Island offers spectacular views of the Brooklyn and Manhattan skylines and the East River Bridges, with a laid back, beach on the waterfront, experience of sun, fun, food and music; with tons of sand, beach volleyball, basketball courts, cafe and outdoor grill and a stage for live performances. Now open Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Water Taxi Beach, Governors Island will be accessible from Lower Manhattan on the Governors Island Ferry departing from the Battery Maritime Building and by New York Water Taxi from Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens.

Melting Pot Global presents its weekly soiree with Veteran spinner Kervyn Mark and the sultry Kamala on the decks every Friday from 6pm onward at the newly beach themed north side of Pier 17 (now run by Water Taxi Beach) to spin deep house, classics and more. Expect an incredible guest line-up of DJs, singers, poets, etal to round out the multimedia essence of the event.

Water Taxi Beach, South Street Seaport is open seven days a week from 11am - 11pm or later. Located on the north side of Pier 17 with spectacular views of the Brooklyn Bridge, Water Taxi Beach will cater to families in search of reasonably priced food and outdoor entertainment on an 18,000 square foot location with signature sandy beach, 9-hole miniature golf course, ping-pong tables and skeeball.
There will also be live music and DJs on the beach every night.
